The Double Wing Mittens began development with a 100g skein of Cotswold farm yarn from Gaspereau Valley Fibres in Nova Scotia. I wanted a design that would show off the beauty of this yarn and be interesting to knit at the same time. A look through Barbara Walker’s Treasury of Knitting Patterns gave me several ideas and I decided on this one for the back of the hand. Pattern is written to be knit with the knitters’ preferred method for small circumferences.

100g of worsted or aran weight wool will be sufficient for these mittens.
