This little dragon’s body can be made in one colour in the round or with a contrasting tummy using the intarsia method. He looks great in the sparkly yarn but that is not essential.

I made the nostrils and eye sockets within the fabric of the head which is a little bit tricky but the nostrils could be made by working blanket stitch over small loops once the head is stuffed and the eye sockets could be made with 5 or 6 dc worked into a MR and then sewn in place.The inner eyes were worked with two strands of 4ply cotton using a 2mm hook as they are very small.

You will also need some toy stuffing for the head. Two strands of black embroidery were used to work the mouth and pupils.
