Description
Draw your lines is a pullover in a classic shape with a saddle shoulder construction. The best feature is the uninterrupted 1x1 rib stitching from the neckline to the cuffs. This line gives the garment a slightly urban, sophisticated feel. The purl stitch portion of this line can be crocheted into a chain stitch line embroidery after the knitting is finished. You can add any number of lines anywhere you like and have fun creating your own unique pullover.

SIZES
Sizes range from 1 to 8, with bust measurements as follows: 35” (1), 38” (2), 41.25” (3), 45.5” (4), 49.5” (5), 54” (6), 58” (7), 62.25”(8); 88 cm (1), 96 cm (2), 104cm (3), 115 cm (4), 125 cm (5), 136 cm (6), 146 cm (7), 157 cm (8).

Draw Your Lines Sweater is designed with approximately 6” (15 cm) of positive ease. If you prefer a looser fit, I recommend knitting one size up. Also, please knit a gauge swatch before beginning to ensure your gauge is correct.

GAUGE
15 sts x 22 rows =10 x 10 cm/ 4” x 4” in Stockinette st after blocking.

SUGGESTED YARN

  • Retrosaria Rosa Pomer MATIZ: 100% wool 219 yds (200 m)/100 g

Approximately 752(795, 882)(959, 1046)(1144, 1264, 1373) yds/ 690(730, 810)(880, 960)(1050, 1160, 1260) m

For chain stitch line decoration, use yarn (I recommend Aran weight or slightly finer worsted weight yarn). The amount required will vary depending on where and how many lines you wish to add; please refer to the sample 2 and sample 3.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

  • 5 mm (US8) (depending on your knitting tension) for main
  • 4.5 mm (US7) circular needle for neck, cuff and hem
  • 4~5 mm crochet hook for chain stitch embroidery

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES

  • German twisted cast on
  • Cable cast on
  • Wrap and turn short row knitting
  • M1L, M1R, M1LP, M1RP

CONSTRUCTION
The DRAW YOUR LINES pullover is worked seamlessly from the top down with saddle shoulder construction centered by 1 x 1 half-twisted rib stitch lines and neck shaping using wrap-and-turn short-row knitting. Once the neck and shoulders have been completed, the yoke is worked in the round with continuous increases for the sleeves and then the front and back bodies up to the point of sleeve separation. The body is then worked in the round down to the ribbing. The sleeves are worked from the top down in the round to the cuffs. Finally, if desired, use a crochet hook to add decorative chain stitch lines along the neckline, sleeves, and underarm seam lines to complete the garment.
