Capelet is quick and easy project, knitted on 7,5mm (US -) needles. The comfy design features a slightly flared hem, round neckline edge, finished with an optional flowers and leaves motifs, which are knitted separately and then appliqued on.
This seamless capelet is knitted top down using a Drops Melody yarn. The knitting pattern is easy to follow, you begin with the simple turtleneck neckline.
The big advantage of working top down is that you can adjust the length of the cape. By adding more rounds, it will grow into a stunning poncho!
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. MATERIALS REQUIRED:
• 3 x 50g balls (420m or 459yds) using Drops Melody, colour 01.
NB If you substitute another yarn, please check tension and yardage.

• 1 Circular needle 7.50mm x length 80 cm (US -).
• A pair of 5.50mm (US 9) needles.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
• 1 Stitch Marker.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches on 10cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10cm, take a smaller needle size.

One size: M.
Cape length (from top of the shoulders)- 33cm (13ins).
