Dutch Pixie Hooded Childrens Cape
This is a lovely fun hooded cape, with a little bit of a point to the hood and a small amount of pattern detail down the sides and back. The stripes are worked in such a way as to make the colours look almost blended together.
The pattern size is approximately aged 5 to 9 years as it is quite versatile and can easily be adjusted to be made slightly longer or slightly shorter.
The pattern uses and DK yarn, in 4 colours. Approximately 50g each of 3 colours for the stripes and 400g of a main colour will be needed. This will vary depending upon the yarn used.
The pattern uses two strands of yarn together throughout. Using 5.5mm needles and stocking stitch your tension should be approximately 18sts and 23 rows to 10cm.
Also needs a 5.5mm and 5.0mm circular knitting needles or very long straight knitting needles and a large button.
