PATTERN ONLY

This hood is based on Dwight’s Dino Hoodie in Dead By Daylight! In-game, it not crochet, but it looked super fun and I had to make it! It is an INTERMEDIATE (or ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER!) pattern because of lots of parts and assembly, but there are step-by-step pictures throughout and extra pictures at the end of a finished hood, in addition to the ones above.

You will mostly be working with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn held together – 2 different shades of green for the main hood itself. I went with a kind of minty green and a more olive green. You can use a single color if you want, but I think the two colors helps to capture the dirty look of the original. If you want t use bulky/blanket yarn that gives you the same gauge, feel free, but you’re on your own if your hood doesn’t turn out right.
Feel free to further customize your hood, use different colors, tweak the pattern, whatever you want! This doesn’t need to be Dwight’s hood at all tbh! Don’t hesitate to share your creations, but please link back to wherever you got the pattern of course! :)

Materials and Supplies
• Worsted weight yarn in 2 shades of green, yellow, white, and a small amount of blue and black for the eyes
◦ YARDAGE (approximate): 300 yards of each the greens and less than 200 yards of all other colors. Just a little bit of blue and black. I recommend having 2 skeins/balls when holding 2 strands together, rather than working from both ends of 1, but this is up to you.
• Size J crochet hook and size G crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Pins (optional, but recommended for positioning the parts before attaching – I use bobby pins)
• Stuffing material – to give dimension to the eyes

Abbreviations/Skills Needed
• Ch: chain
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half-double crochet
• Sl: slip stitch
• Inc: increase
• Dec: decrease

Finished hood, folded in half, measures about 16” tall from the lower front corners to the top and 15” across from front tooth point to back spine point. The spines are about 3”.
