A warm but yet light hat for the smallest. Knitted bottom up in stockinette with a simple pattern lining the bottom of the hat. Earflaps are knitted separately and are then sewn onto the hat. The hat is finished with a pompom on top and crocheted straps to keep it in place.

Yarn weight: Light worsted or DK weight, 20 wpi.

Gauge: 34 stitches and 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette.

Suggested needles: Double point needles size US 2/2.5 mm. Circular 40 cm needles size US 2/2.5 mm.

Yardage: 460 yards of cloudy blue and a yarn rest of white.

Sizes available: Child size 1-2 years. Suits a child with approximately 44 cm around the head.
