Spring is a wonderful time of the year - the light returns, the days get longer, nature is stretching its legs again. Easter, believed to have gotten its name from a pagan goddess named Eostre, is a natural celebration of this and has been celebrated throughout history. It is a time of rebirth and fertility, and that is also where some of the main Easter symbols come from, like eggs and rabbits. These socks are the perfect accessory for your Easter celebration!

One size. Finished and blocked socks measure:
Length of the foot: approx. 23cm/9.1”.
Circumference: approx. 21 cm/8,3”.
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles or by adding or removing some rows.

The pattern specifies the yarns I have used, but any sock yarn of the same weight (100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards) will work fine.

Approximate weight needed if sticking to gauge:
MC: 50 g
CC1: 20 g
CC2: 10 g
CC3: 5 g

Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles size 2.5 mm/US 1.5 (for ribbing and single colour parts) and 2.75 mm/US 2 (for colourwork), or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.

Other materials needed:
Tapestry needle
2 stitchmarkers
Scissors
A cable needle/extra needle for knitting cables

Gauge for colourwork:
Approx. 34 st/37 rows = 10 cm/4”.

Pattern is available in English and Swedish.

Techniques used: Stranded Colourwork, Lace knitting with cables, German Short Row Heel, Duplicate Stitching, Kitchener Stitch.
