Beanies. Everybody loves them. They’re a winter staple, great gift and save many of us from a bad hair day!

The pattern calls for 6.5mm circular needles AND 6.5mm double pointed needles.

5.5mm needles are also suggested (optional) for casting on.

This pattern is knit with 2 strands of yarn together so works up quite quickly. The blue (mens size) is knit with a plain and variegated yarn – alternating every 3rd row. It comfortably fits a size 61cm (24 inch) head.

The ladies size is knit with 2 solid colours together – I used red and magenta. This size fits a 57cm (22.5 inch) head. Feel free to choose a size and yarn colour/s that suit you or the lucky person who receives your creation.
