My beautiful neighbor Pat and I knits these blankets for charity. Often we are using donated yarn of differing brands and weights. This way of joining can help smooth out any puckering of different tension. We use 8ply yarn in Australia (DK in USA) so you may need to reduce your stitches if using American worsted yarn.

This blanket is made up of 28 knitted squares - each one 25cm square (10 inch) and approx. 50g each (130 mtrs). You may need to increase or decrease the number of stitches depending on your tension and yarn. Including the border – this blanket measures 110cm x 180cm (43 inch x 70 inch).
