Easy Christmas Hand Warmers Crochet Pattern

If you’re just learning how to crochet, then this pattern is the perfect Christmas project for you! This hand warmer pattern is so easy and quick to whip up! You only need to know a couple of basic stitches and count your rows correctly. That’s it!
I’ll show you step-by-step how to make these cute Christmas hand warmers that you can make for yourself as a treat this winter or gift to someone you love.

Materials Needed
DK yarn in green & red. I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK.
4 mm crochet hook for main body, 3.5 mm hook for embellishment
Yarn needle
Scissors

Abbreviations Used in Pattern
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
sc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
st = stitch
sts = stitches
fo = fasten off
Skill Level
Beginner

*Measurements/Size**
Width = 9 cm, Height = 15 cm (Teen or Adult Women’s Size)

Gauge
16 stitches and 10 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4”) in dc with 4 mm hook

Yardage
Approx. 35 m (38 yards)

Notes
- Use any type of yarn to achieve gauge.

• Try to crochet over your yarn tails so you don’t have to weave them in later.

• Ch 2 at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.

• Experiment with using the stacked single crochet technique instead of a ch 2 at the beginning of a row for cleaner edges.

• Please note that I use US crochet terms.
