Size: The pattern includes instructions for 7 sizes: Newborn (0 – 3 months), Baby (4 – 12 months), Toddler (1 – 3 years), Child (4 – 7 years), Youth (8 – 13 years), Women (14+ years) and Men (14+ years).

Yarn: You can use any size 4 (medium) and 100% acrylic yarn. I only recommend using size 4 and 100% acrylic yarn. Below are the approximate amounts of yarn required for each size (for each hat) along with the colors I used:

Newborn: 80 yds – “Pale Gray,” “Soft Rose,” and “Clear Blue”
Baby: 90 yds – “Gold”
Toddler: 100 yds – “Soft Taupe”
Child: 125 yds – “True Gray”
Youth: 140 yds – “Green Lagoon”
Women: 150 yds – “Plum”
Men: 160 yds – “Misty Blue”

I used Impeccable yarn by Loops & Threads in the colors listed above. This yarn is size 4 (medium) and 100% acrylic. A skein is 285 yds / 260 m and 4.5 oz / 127.5 g.

Crochet Hook Size: H/8 (5.00 mm).

Other Materials: Yarn needle, scissors and a measuring tape. Optional: a stitch marker.
