I’ve been lucky enough to land the best side gig ever, working one day a week at a newly opened LYS in my town. I’m sure this is a fantasy many of us share; I match knitters to projects all day and then go home with an armful of yarn!

I’ve discovered that many knitters want a simple yet stylish project. Many learned to knit years ago and are coming back to the craft or are just starting off as newbies. But most clients want a lovely finished object that doesn’t require heavy concentration.

This Easiest LYS shawl fulfills that wish. You can use fingering or worsted, a gradient or a speckle. Find a yarn that speaks to you and cast on! You only need to know the knit stitch and how to increase and decrease. And if by the end you get ambitious, you can throw in a picot bind off. If not, just go with the straight bind off!

Please go to your local yarn store to purchase yarn for this project. They are happy to help you up your knitting game. Or come to Pick Up Every Stitch, a wonderful yarn community in Mt. Kisco NY. We would love to match your skill and interests to a project.
