The Easy Rib Knit Cardigan is an EASY knit that can be done by anyone who can knit, purl, and work Kfb increases. This design is worked flat in one piece beginning at the neckline and working toward the hem.
Because the entire design is worked in ribbing this cardigan can fit any baby from size 6 months to 12 months. The design gradually increases in width as you work your way down from the shoulders to the hem. The only wee seam you must sew up is the sleeve underarms. I have also worked buttonholes on both sides of the front button band to make it suitable for either boys or girls.
The accompanying toque is worked in a rib pattern done in the shape of a parallellogram and seamed up the back. Easy and quick to knit. Worked in a matching color yarn to the cardigan it makes for a cute and simple set for any little babe.
