I’m beyond excited to share my latest creation, a gorgeous cabled cowl, and I’m obsessed with how the texture turned out! The intricate twists and turns give it such a rich, luxurious feel, perfect for keeping warm on chilly days. Whether layered over a coat or worn indoors for a bit of extra coziness, it’s the ultimate winter accessory.

And the best part? It’s a one-skein project! Quick to knit, minimal commitment, maximum impact.

The design features a striking cable edge that looks wonderfully intricate… yet it’s surprisingly easy to knit. It’s one of those secretly simple projects that feels impressive with very little fuss — perfect for gift knitting or treating yourself to something luxurious and cozy.

The Edge of Glory Cowl is knit flat and then seamed at the back of the neck using a 3-needle bind-off.

I chose Jems Luxe Fibers Yak DK and Silky Yak DK — the perfect pairing for incredible stitch definition, luxurious softness, and that irresistible yak squish.

Needles: US 7/4.5mm needles, extra size 7/4.5mm needle for bind off

Notions: Cable Needle, Stitch markers, T-pins and blocking wires for blocking

Gauge: 18 stitches = 4 inches in cable stitch after a gentle blocking. Although gauge is not crucial for this project, it will affect the finished size and yarn requirements. A looser gauge will result in the use of more yarn.

Finished Size: 24” neckline x 16” braided cable edge after blocking.
