This is a pattern for a Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover! It is designed and inspired by the Disney Character Eeyore! This design also uses and integrates the lining, “Insul-Bright” by The Warm Company, as an extra heat protective element! Tried and tested, this pattern can be easily worked up in a single evening! The two main stitches used in this pattern are the Center Single Crochet Stitch (also known as the waistcoat stitch, the knit stitch, or the fair isle stitch), Single Crochet Stitch, and Slip Stitch. Amateur sewing skills are needed in working this pattern, but a sewing machine is absolutely not necessary. This is a “one size fits all skillets” pattern. The gauge is based on the project worked in continuous rounds with a 5.00mm hook size. Black, Gray, and Pink colors were used for the elements of the design. Due to the end function and nature of this item, an 100% Cotton based yarn is necessary for this pattern! Do keep in mind as a safety precaution: with the lining of this finished project, it can be washed and easily used with any hot cast iron skillet. However, you must be careful to not microwave the cover. Also like any other kitchen and cooking aid accessory, do not leave this near an open flame (i.e. not to close to the flames of a gas stove). I hope you like this pattern! With a full Skein of each color of the I Love This Cotton Yarn (Hobby Lobby), and a half of a yard of the fabric, you can easily get at least four full Skillet Covers! This would be a great pattern and finished product to sell at craft shows! Thanks for checking it out! Let me know how you like it, and please share your pictures with me!
