This cowl is knit in two sections, the body of the octopus and the legs. This is a one-size-fits-most pattern for adults.

Because I knit loosely, I found the gauge on size 5 needles using worsted weight yarn. You may need to use larger needles if your knitting is tighter. The gauge is 18.75 stitches and 28 rounds equal 4 inches on size 5 needles.

The pattern is made with Malabrigo Rios yarn. I used 2 skeins of Zarzamora and 1 skein of Cape Cod Grey. You can use a similar yarn that allows you to get gauge.
