electra is the lost pleiad, disappearing with grief after the destruction of the city of troy. ovid called her “atlantis”, while others have translated her name to “amber” and “shining.” these socks trick the eye depending on the light they catch, with a subtle textured rib that can disappear into a dark fleece’s yarn or catch the light on strands of shimmery mohair. simple yet effective, these will be your favourite hiking and adventuring sock, especially if you choose a cozy longwool yarn.

welcome to the pleiades collection, celebrating natural sock yarns through the seven sisters.
