Elfie and Little Reindeer
Crochet pattern «Elfie & Little Reindeer»
The pattern contains 22 pages of instructional material accompanied by 160 photos.
Basic crochet skills are a prerequisite.
To crochet these Elfie & Little Reindeer you will need:
For the Elf:
• Thin cotton yarn in six colors: beige (for the head), green and white (for the body), red (for the hat and mittens), light brown (for the hair), dark brown (for the boots and belt). My yarn thickness is 10 g / 82 m = 0.35 oz / 90 yds (Gamma Iris). You may use thin sewing thread. The thinner the thread, the smaller the toy will be, and vice versa.
• Textured white yarn, about 500 g per 100 m. Any fiber composition will work (I used Alpina Baby).
• A small piece of yellow cotton yarn for embroidering the buckle.
• A small piece of dark brown thread (embroidery floss works) for embroidering the eyebrows.
• 0.75 mm crochet hook [US steel hook 14]
• Glass eyes, diameter 3 mm [0.1 in]
• Wire for the frame, diameter 0.5 mm or thicker
For the Little Reindeer:
• Brown embroidery floss (for the body), white floss (for the muzzle and belly), and dark brown floss (for the antlers and hooves). Separate 1 strand from the skein. (I use Gamma or DMC cotton floss.) You may use thin sewing thread. The thinner the thread, the smaller the toy.
• A small piece of red sewing thread for embroidering the nose
• Glass toy eyes, 2 mm, [0.08 iches], here is a paid tutorial with detailed instructions.
• 0.5 mm crochet hook, [US Steel Crochet Hook Size 18].
Shared for Both:
• Strong white sewing thread for shaping and sewing parts
• Gel super glue (Moment Super Gel or similar)
• Thin strong steel needle
• Sharp manicure scissors, round-nose pliers, tweezers
• Stuffing (polyester fiberfil)
• Toothpick or broken felting needle for stuffing small parts
For shading: watercolor paints and a fine brush
