Elizabeth Cowl
This beautiful cowl uses a combination of basic stitch techniques, although a complete beginner might initially feel intimidated by the Elizabeth stitch. However, if you can single crochet, chain, half double crochet, and yarn over, you’ve got this! The pattern is easily customizable to make a longer or shorter cowl - just modify the foundation row in multiples of two; you always want to have an odd number of stitches.
This would also be great worked in KT & the Squid Sport weight, which is 100% superfine, superwash merino. However, you would need two skeins to complete this project. In fact, you could substitute any fingering or sport weight yarn for this pattern, although your yardage needs might fluctuate, depending on gauge and weight of yarn.
