A pretty top for toddlers originally designed and featured in
Love Crochet magazine Issue 26, 2015.

The pattern has now been updated (2026) to include a second size (obtained by using smaller hook and lighter yarn) and an alternate neckline - feedback was the side shoulder design of the original was fiddly to wear.

You can use either:
4ply and a 2.5mm hook, shown here in Drops Nord Rust, or
Sport weight yarn and a 3.75mm hook, shown here in Drops Baby Merino in Light Grey.

You can work the original side shoulder design or the more simple vest style and work a plain bottom hem or a pretty twisted double crochet hem. There is a video tutorial for the hem that you can find here.
