The Embark blanket is designed as a stitch sampler for learners.

Intended for any 8ply yarn, it can also be made from other ply yarns with a suitable size hook.

The 6 row repeat gives enough variation to maintain interest, while being repetitive enough to memorise the stitches, so you don’t need to refer back to the pattern all the time.

  • single trebles
  • double trebles
  • triple trebles
  • quad chains
  • then clusters of 5 trebles followed by the final connecting row before starting all over again…

Suitable for beginners, this pattern has written instructions with more full sentences and less acronyms. Stitch diagrams and step by step photographs are also included.

With an 8ply acrylic, the intended hook size is 4mm. Detailed information is included in the pattern to help you adjust your hook size if needed, to ensure you get suitable tension.

Finished size should be approximately 104x106cm (varies slightly depending on your individual tension).

One of our tester team hooked theirs in 10ply acrylic for more chunky look and it turned out great! Details on the last page of the pattern.
