Embers Crescent is a beautiful crescent shawl, worked in one piece, top-down. You can choose between an all-lace version or garter stitch one. No matter which version of this shawl you decide to make, you will end up with an absolutely stunning finished garment: a truly beautiful shawl that will steal your heart ♡

Size: one size; measurements after blocking:

  • All Lace Version: approx. 210 cm/ 82.5” wide and 46 cm/ 18” long measured from center top to bottom;
  • Garter Stitch and Lace Version: approx. 204 cm/ 80” wide and 45 cm/ 17.75” long measured from center top to bottom;

Gauge: 19 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in Garter Stitch on 3.75 mm/ US5 needles, measured flat after blocking;
Gauge is not important for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage. Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.

Yarn: Ivy Fiber Co. Meadow Fingering 100% French merino d’Arles and Portuguese wool blend; 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz): 2 skeins; the samples were knit in Stone and Moss colorways;
Or: approx. 800 m/ 875 yards of fingering weight yarn;

Needles: 3.75 mm/ US5 circular needles at least 80 cm/ 32” long or needle size to obtain the gauge;

Other: cable needle, tapestry needle to weave in ends.
