Thanks to those who purchased this pattern since the flood happend in Duluth, I was able to donate $50 to help that city.

It happens to all of us. Suddenly, we are faced with the need for a knitted gift, and we have nothing prepared, and almost no time. The emergency hat was born in just such a time. Sized from baby to adult, this hat offers large impact with little time and effort put in. It is a good choice as a beginner lace project.

The lace pattern is very stretchy, making this a good choice for gift knitting as well, as it is likely to fit anyone. Instructions include both charted and written directions, as well as details on all three versions: single colour, two colour and three colour stripes.

Skill level:Experienced knitter
Sts used: k2togtbl, k2tog, CDD, yo, k and p.

Tip: Being able to read your knitting is useful for this project. The shaping of the lace is staggered on alternate rounds.
