Emilie June is knit from side to side starting with a provisional cast on. The body of the cardigan is knit in stockinette with a scalloped cabled hem. Spaces are left for the sleeves using the afterthought method. The front of the cardigan is shaped using short rows. The collar and front bands are knit in k2, p2 ribbing and finished with a tubular bind off. The sleeve ribbing uses a tubular bind off as well.
