The classic Wonderland Turtle is now available with adaptations for the shorter, plumper, 18” dolls. This sweater works as a cardigan as well as a pullover.
The slim Happy Kidz size calls for fingering weight yarn; the 18” size calls for sport weight. Both versions use the same needles, although the 18” size uses more yarn by weight.
The sweater is worked top-down in one piece. The option is given to work the sleeves flat and seam them or work them in the round, with directions given for both.
The Happy Kidz version has a gauge of 28 sts = 4” or 10 cm and takes approximately 24g of yarn.
The 18” version has a gauge of 24 sts = 4” or 10 cm and takes approximately 41g of yarn.
Both versions require 5 buttons.
