“Erika” is a small symmetrical shawl worked from one point to the other: in the first part you will work the increases that will bring it to its final size, the central section features a small section without increases in the last part you will work the decreases that will bring it back to the few starting stitches.
All side edges are finished with an i-cord, giving the shawl a more refined look.
The entire surface of the shawl is worked with a very dramatic and easy-to-memorize cable and lace stitch.
The shawl can be easily customized depending on how much yarn you have.

Finished measurements:
A – longer side: 146 cm.
B – width (central part): 20 cm.

Yarn and needles:
FIBRE GENTILI Eolie: Cornucopia Green (100% Wool: 300 m – 50 gr skein): 1 skein (240 m).
Needles size 3.5 mm. If necessary, please adjust needle size to obtain the specified gauge.
1 cable needle.
Tapestry needle and scissors.
Pins and a tape measure for blocking.

Gauge:
21 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm in st st (after blocking).
In fact the gauge is not very important in this pattern. Since the knitting starts from the narrow end of the shawl, it is easy to adjust the length based on how much yarn you have.
Instead, final blocking is important: the shawl must be blocked to reach the desired length!

“Erika” è un piccolo scialle simmetrico lavorato da una punta all’altra: nella prima parte si lavoreranno gli aumenti che lo porteranno alla grandezza definitiva, nella parte centrale si lavorerà una piccola sezione senza aumenti e nell’ultima parte si lavoreranno le diminuzioni che lo riporteranno alle poche maglie di partenza.
Tutti i bordi laterali sono rifiniti da un i-cord che dona un aspetto più curato allo scialle.
L’intera superficie dello scialle è lavorata con un punto a trecce e pizzo molto scenografico e facile da memorizzare.
Lo scialle si può facilmente personalizzare a seconda di quanto filato si possiede.

Misure finite:
A – lunghezza: 146 cm.
B – ampiezza (parte centrale): 20 cm.

Filato e ferri:
FIBRE GENTILI Eolie: Cornucopia Green (100% lana: 300 m per matassa da 50 gr): 1 matassa (240 m).
Ferri numero 3.5 mm. Se necessario modificare il numero dei ferri per ottenere il campione corretto.
Altro:
1 ferro ausiliario (per le trecce).
Ago da lana e forbici.
Spilli e metro da sarta per il bloccaggio.

Campione:
21 m e 34 f = 10 cm lavorati a maglia rasata (dopo il bloccaggio).
In realtà il campione non è molto importante perché, incominciando dal vertice più stretto, è possibile regolare in modo molto semplice la lunghezza dello scialle a seconda di quanto filato si possiede. È essenziale, invece, la fase finale del bloccaggio per permettere allo scialle di estendersi fino alla sua misura finale!
