SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. The texture of the shawl is achieved using variations of half double crochet stitches

YARN: #4 medium worsted yarn;
USED HERE: Sirdar Bonus Aran Tweed, 0665 Seaspray, approximately 630 m (689 yds) and Stylecraft Special Aran, 1029 Copper, 50 m (55 yds), but you can use any worsted you have in your stash for the stripes.

HOOK: 6 mm US J-10.

GAUGE: 13 sts x 11 rows in Linked hdc BLO = 10 cm (4”) square.

CONSTRUCTION: The shawl is worked lengthwise, flat, in rows, in one piece. The border is worked in ends of rows on the short sides.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: before blocking and with border scarf is approximately 27 cm / 10.6’’ wide and 184 cm / 72.4’’ long.
