Esther sweater
This is a lovely, basic raglan sweater with a beautiful, staggered rib stitch pattern. Its perfect fit is extremely comfortable and will make you want to wear it as often as possible – we know that fit is vital to our satisfaction with a garment. Esther is the first of a series of my own raglan sweater designs that will focus on perfect fit. This design is worked in a combination of our delicious Shetland wool and a strand of Silk Mohair, which result in a warm, soft, and casual sweater that can be used in many different contexts. Personally, I will use it with jeans and sneakers, topped with a nice scarf or shawl around the neck. Make one in your preferred color, and you will have yourself a new favorite sweater.

Procedure
The sweater is worked in the round, from the top down. Stitches are cast on using the provisional, crochet cast-on method to allow adjusting the size of the neck opening after finishing the sweater. Short rows are worked over shoulders and back of the neck to make the back of the neck higher. The yoke is worked with raglan increases, and the yoke stitches are then separated into sleeves and body, which are finished separately. The sleeves are worked in the round. After trying on the sweater for size, the provisional cast-on is unraveled, and the neck hem worked.
