On clear sunny days, the outline of the Blue Mountains can be seen from far away in Sydney, surrounded by a haze of intense purplish-blue.

The Eucalypt Haze Beanie, worked in the Amethyst colourway of Australian Alpaca Barn’s “Tranquillity”, beautifully reflects this haze! The baby alpaca-merino blend is sooo soft against the skin, is very warm, and shows off the leafy pattern perfectly.

So where does the Blue Mountains haze come from? The scientific explanation: “Eucalyptus oil droplets emitted from the Blue Mountains forests, combined with water vapour and dust particles, scatter short wavelengths of colour which are predominantly blue in colour!”

Pattern Pack: Buy together with Eucalypt Haze Slouchy Beanie pattern for AUD7.00 only!
