This pattern came about as a gift for my father. He loves sailing and requested something to prevent him getting cold at sea. I developed this neck warmer to be practical and light and stop wind from creeping down your back with a faux turtle neck look.

This pattern is worked top down and in the round. The collar is worked in 1x1 ribbing. The ribbing is maintained and the work is increased over the shoulders. Then the front and back is shaped using short rows and cast of with the Italian bind off.

26 sts to 26 rows to 10 cm x 10 cm 1x1 ribbing.
Size 3,5 mm / UK 9-10 / US 4 or to obtain the required gauge.

Yarn weight: 200 meter per 100 g

This pattern fits a neck circumference: 33 cm to 51 cm / 13-20 inc and is available in 4 sizes. The green collar is a size 1, the model has a 36 cm neck circumference. The blue collar is a size 2, the model has a 34 cm neck circumference.

It has 4-10 cm / 1.5-4 inches of ease. This will create a fitted look, that still leaves a bit of room around the neck. You can size down for a snug fit or up for a looser fit

Size 1 fits 30-36 cm / 12.75-14.25 inc

Size 2 fits 36-42 cm / 14.25-15.5 inc

Size 3 fits 42-48 cm / 15.5-19 inc

Size 4 fits 48-54 cm / 19-21.25 inc
