There was no size listed in the original pattern. Based on the measurements in the chart, the sweater will be approximately 12” across the bottom and 16 inches at the shoulders. But keep in mind that the sweater will stretch to fit.

Yarn: A; light weaving, two-ply; allow 1 to 2 ounces each color.

Needles: No. 12, average, to knit gauge of 3 stitches to one inch. Also, one size smaller (no. 11), to knit gauge of 3 V2stitches to one inch.

Chart: one box= 4 stitches or 4 ridges; cast on 4 plus 4 stitches for unit 1.

Units: Divided squares, adapted divided squares, triangles, right and left.

To wear: As an open neck evening blouse as in the photograph, edge the open neckline and down center of blouse with silver metal yarn in chain stitch, beginning at lower center front of blouse. Fasten pearl at front neckline to close blouse.
