The popular Everyday Play for 18” or 19” Doll has been reworked for the new Götz Little Kidz, which are 36cm or 14 1/2” tall. They are slightly bigger in the shoulders, chest and waist than Wellie Wishers, so some adaptations may be needed for these or other similar-sized dolls.
The dress is worked from the top down, and there are instructions for making the dress working in-the-round or working flat and sewing up the back.
The prototype was made with Patton Kroy Socks and took 20g of yarn. Three 3/8” buttons are needed. The dress may be worn with the placket in the front. Self-striping yarn is nice to use, but if knit flat, the seam will be more noticeable, as the stripes won’t necessarily line up.
This is a simple pattern and quick to knit. It would be a good way to learn to knit in the round or for a child who has learned to knit a simple scarf in stockinette to learn some new skills.
