We can’t all do extreme sports, but any knitter who can work decreases and yarnovers can make this dramatic lace. (only 8/30 rows are lace and all patterning worked on RS)

The name came from someone commenting that it was like an extreme version of Fern Frost.

I thought this one worked particularly well as a scarf so you get the extreme wiggles at the ends, but if you prefer you can work it as a cowl.

The original used 330m of yarn and is 190 x 19cm. (you can make yours wider, but then you’ll need to allow more yarn).
