The Fab Fair Beanie was designed as a stash-busting project with maximum color impact. Although four colors are used, you only knit with two colors at a time. Go bold with vivid, bright hues or go for a more subtle look with a mix of neutrals. So many combinations to choose from! Have so much fun picking the perfect one for you!

Materials needed:

Worsted/size 4 yarn in four contrasting colors—approximately 155 yards total (roughly 65 yards of Color A and 30 yards each of Color B, Color C and Color D)

US 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular knitting needles

US 9 (5.5 mm) 16” circular knitting needles

US 9 (5.5 mm) Double Pointed Needles (DPNs) or US 9 (5.5 mm) circular knitting needles with a longer cord for Magic Loop Method

Tapestry needle

Additional Gauge Information:

17 sts and 20 rows per 4” square knit in the Fair Isle pattern (body of the hat) with US 9 (5.5 mm) needles
