Knitting pattern in English and German for a stash-busting, beginner-friendly hair accessory in two sizes.

| Construction:
You’ll shape it with a series of increases followed by decreases. From there, a narrow band is worked to connect the two sides. The second bow is then created in the same way, completing the hair tie with a balanced, whimsical finish.

Mermaid Tears by PRU Yarns, here colour Black, 100 g - 400 m | 437 yards:
1 skein for both sizes
Soft Silk Mohair by Knitting for Olive , here colour Licorice, 25 g - 225 m | 246 yards:
1 skein for both sizes

Please note:
You won’t even need half of the skeins to make the hair ties.
Holding two strands together is only a suggestion — you can also work this pattern with a single yarn held alone, as long as it matches gauge.
This project is especially suitable for effect yarns. The sample yarn by PRU Yarns already includes beads within the skeins, but alternatively beads can also be added after finishing by sewing them onto the fabric.

Main Needles: Circular Needles 2.5 mm | US 2.5 | UK 12 in length that feels best.

29 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm | 4 x 4”
In stockinette stitch pattern, worked flat & in the round with Main Needles, blocked and measured laid flat.
