Great 1st fairisle project! You start simple, with a bottom up tube for the body, then make both sleeves and learn how to work an increase while staying in pattern. Join the sleeves to the body and decrease down to the neck before working a steek! (I promise it is addicting once you get started, and not nearly as scary as you think it is).

Once you finish your 1st baby fairisle sweater, you’ve got all the skills and confidence you need to tackle one for yourself next!

Baby sizes are notoriously difficult, because they come out such different sizes. These tend to be generous sizes (baby shown in 12-18 month size is 12 months old with an 18” chest and plenty of room to grow).
