Pay what works

Knitting is not only a creative and relaxing occupation, in times as these it also is invaluable as a sort of therapy, an opportunity to make enriching encounters and come together with other knitters. Last but not least, it’s a wonderful way to make your own sustainable wardrobe.

In order to make my knitting patterns accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, I now offer a “Pay What Works” scheme. This way, you choose the amount that you feel is accessible for you and use the corresponding coupon code at checkout. Description

The Fairylights cardigan is worked top-down with raglan increases along the upper body until the sleeves and body are split and worked separately. A delicate lace pattern decorates the sleeves all the way down, ending in a simple garter stitch binding at 2/3 length. The body, on the other hand, is knit in simple stockinette stitch.

The buttonbands with the buttonholes are worked simultaneously along the front edges of the body. The slightly rounded neckline is formed by using short rows right after the neckline binding. This pattern combines techniques such as short rows, raglan increases and buttonhole shaping which are all explained in the introduction, to make it accessible to newer knitters.
