I find crescent shawls uniquely fun. This shawl starts with the lace border. Once completed, short rows shape the crescent of the shawl. Working the short rows last seems to make this shawl fly off the needles and onto the shoulders.

While it is worked in Wandering Wool’s gradient yarn, you can choose any fingering weight yarn or color, although gradients do make it interesting for the eye.

Finished shawl is approximately 54” (137 cm) wide and 17” (43 cm) deep using a gauge in stockinette of 5 stitches and 7 rows per inch (2.5 cm).
