The Faron Woods Hat is an easily remembered pattern with lots of texture on a single panel, running up to a slouchy point. You can easily make it longer or shorter by adding or removing repeats of the pattern before the decreases.

Materials needed:

-Worsted or DK weight yarn (220 yards)
- size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles, and double
pointed needles for crown decreases

  • 6 stitch markers
  • 1 cable needle
  • a tape measure or ruler to get gauge

The pattern is both written and charted (special thanks to Shelby Hamden for creating the chart).

The pattern includes photo tutorials for both the Fisherman’s Rib and for checking gauge.
