As a wise man once said, my anaconda don’t want none unless you got buns, hon. Make a nice, fat bun with easy-to-make hair accessory! It works up in an evening. I recommend using yarn of a similar color to your hair so it’s less obtrusive. When you’re ready to use it, put your hair up in a ponytail, put the doughnut around the hair elastic, pulling your hair all the way through the opening, and wrap your hair around the doughnut. Secure your hair around it and you’re ready to go!

Yarn: About 50 yards/meters DK yarn. You can alternatively strand 2 pieces of sock weight yarn, but you will need double the yardage.

Gauge: 22 sts and 36 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch. You will want a quite firm fabric so the stuffing doesn’t poke through. I know the needles are much smaller than we’d usually use, but trust me. We need them small!

Techniques: Knitting in the round and wrap and turning.
