This pattern uses the combination of slipped stitches and cables to create raised diagonal lines reminiscent of the vanes of a feather.

A double wrapping technique is used when knitting the cables in order to prevent the cables from tightening up the fit of the sock. The pattern includes the option to use a coordinate yarn for the heels and toes.
