A deceptively simple patterned bucket hat – just what you need for an afternoon outdoors in the coldest temps!
This pattern was inspired by the subtle beauty found in the fields surrounding my home; the colors of the winter
trees and the fence lines marking the fields. You can choose a pair of yarns that are close in color value, or ones
with high contrast – either will work, but definitely choose some beautiful local farm yarns if you can.

The pattern uses two contrasting colors of yarns that combine to create a hat that looks more complicated than it actually is. You will need approximately 70-90 yards of each color, depending on your individual knitting style.

It is sized to fit an average adult head, with notes about gauge and adjustments that can be made to change the sizing.
