February skies
I´ve always enjoyed February, although I realize most people don´t. My birthday is in February and it´s the shortest month of the year… what´s not to like? The weather is really capricious in Iceland during that month. We have blizzard, winter storms, rains, and an occasional watery, sunny day, although those are rare. While knitting this shawl the colors reminded me so much of all the different colors of the february skies, so that´s where the name came from. After all, what is cozier than knitting inside on a stormy February afternoon?
The shawl is an elongated crescent shape, knitted with a 3 color fade and the fourth color is a solid or a semisolid for the lace parts.
