This felted flower pattern produces pretty flowers with rounded petals and a bobble center. Felted flowers are a nice way to decorate hats, handbags, scarves, sweaters, ponchos, and other items. Because I make and sell a lot of felted hats, I wanted a flower that was not as thick as the traditional felted flowers. I created this pattern using only one strand of worsted weight and U.S. Size 10 needles. That yarn and needle combination gives the knitter more options with felting. Since the stitches are tighter prior to felting, the felting process can be adjusted to create a thinner fabric with felting characteristics.

Three sizes are included with this pattern. Felting instructions are provided for the first-time felter.
