Here’s a pattern for durable and warm mittens for pre school kids. Knitted in pure wool yarn and felted in the washing machine. They have a large cuff and a ribbed wrist shaping in superwash yarn that remains stretchy after washing.

These mittens will keep small hands warm and stay in place. When they are dirty you just wash them in 40 degrees Celsius in the washing machine.

They are a felted cousin to barnehagevotter.
