Feng's Bunny Hood
PATTERN ONLY
Feng’s bunny ears hood is a suitable BEGINNER pattern and there are step-by-step pictures throughout and a bunch of extra pictures at the end of a finished hood!
You can either work with two (2) strands of worsted weight held together or a comparable blanket/bulky yarn that gets you a similar gauge. I don’t like blanket yarn so I cannot assist you with yardage or blanket yarn-related inquiries if you choose that route. This is a really thick, warm hood either way.
In-game, the hood is fabric with what looks like a lace border, but we are obviously making it with yarn, so some artistic liberties have been taken.
Feel free to further customize your hood, use different colors, tweak the pattern, whatever you need. Don’t hesitate to share your creations online, but be sure to link back to the pattern of course!
Materials and Supplies
• Worsted weight yarn in pink (or green) and white
◦ YARDAGE (approximate!): 600 yards of the main color and less than 200 yards of white. I recommend having 2 skeins/balls when holding 2 strands together, rather than working from both ends of one, but this is up to you. You only need one (1) skein of white because it will be a single strand
• Size J (5.5mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Pins (optional, but recommended for positioning the parts before attaching – I use bobby pins)
Abbreviations/Skills Needed
• Ch: chain
• Sc: single crochet
• Hdc: half-double crochet
• Dc: double crochet
• Sl: slip stitch
• Inc: increase
• Dec: decrease
• St/sts: stitch/stitches
• Rnd/rnds: round/rounds
• Yo: yarn over
Finished hood, folded in half, measures about 16” tall from the front corners to the top and 11” across from front to back. The tassles measure about 12” but are easily adjusted.
