This shawl was created while I was knitting a completely different project. While this idea was still milling around in my head, I had picked up a few skeins in medium and light weight yarn to experiment with. The Bernat Satin in Fern green is what I started out with and am quite pleased with it. Because of the size of the needles and the slipperiness of the yarn, I’d suggest using bamboo or wood circular needles to help prevent slippage. This pattern starts at the top of the shawl and you can create tassels or knot the two ends loosely, or simply leave it as it is. I’d definitely recommend blocking this item.

The pictures included are before I blocked the shawl and I will add more once I have finished doing so.

I’m in the process of blocking this shawl and will add those pictures to the pattern. I’m also going to do a second one with a light weight yarn and will add any recommendations or notes regarding gauge difference as well.
