FERNDALE SOCKS
………………….…………
This woodland-inspired conclusion to the Simply Stranded Summer Sock Club invites you to reflect on all that Summer has brought, and on all that Autumn may bring, as you walk in soothing shade along your favourite mossy, fern-strewn path.
The arborescent motif also works extremely well in ‘seasonal’ colour schemes, should you feel the inclination to knit some pumpkin spice socks, or want to get started early on socks for the winter holidays.
Thank you so much for partaking in the Simply Stranded Summer Sock Club, and I hope you enjoy this final pattern!
………………….…………
Like all patterns in the Simply Stranded Summer Sock Club, the Ferndale Socks feature the following:
. instructions for knitting the socks cuff down and toe-up
. options for two types of heel construction:
peasant heel and short row heel
. colourwork charts based on a simple 4-stitch repeat that is top-down reversible, and can be worked either for the entire sock or just for the leg
. an extensive appendix with adjustment and modification options
. a short narrative about the inspiration behind the pattern
