Ferris Wheel
Every little girl needs a few cardies they can throw on with any outfit for any occasion; whether it’s an evening outing to the local carnival or for snuggling in front of the TV. Ferris Wheel, the little sister to Summer Festival, is reminiscent of ferris wheels, carousels and all things fun and festive. Knit top-down and seamlessly, this lightweight and easy to wear cardigan is the perfect long lounging cardigan for throwing on over anything!
Construction:
Ferris Wheel is a seamless knit worked from the top down. The bodice is constructed using traditional seamless raglan increases. However, initially only the shoulder and back sections are worked. The front sections of the cardigan are picked up later along the edge created by the front raglan shaping. These stitches are worked down with the back to create the garment’s body.
Both charts and instructions are included for the lace sections.

NOTE: Ferris Wheel is part of a series of four related patterns available separately or as part of an ebook.
The related pattern, Carousel, is a cropped version of this cardigan, much like a 50s bolero. The bodice and sleeves are worked slightly differently in each of these patterns to cater for the different fit and ease in the different style of sleeves.
The final two patterns are adult versions of these two patterns; Summer Carnival and Summer Festival.
